Lenovo — frequently asked questions
- ThinkSystem vs. ThinkAgile — which do we need?
- ThinkSystem is standalone server, storage and networking hardware you configure yourself (or with us); hyperconverged appliance lines bundle compute, storage and virtualization together. If you're already comfortable managing each layer separately, ThinkSystem is usually the simpler, more flexible choice.
- What's the practical difference between ThinkPad and ThinkCentre?
- ThinkPad is Lenovo's laptop line, built for staff who move between locations or work hybrid; ThinkCentre is the desktop line for fixed workstation roles where portability isn't needed.
- Can you image and asset-tag laptops before they reach our staff?
- Yes — fleet laptops can be imaged with your standard software set and asset-tagged as part of the rollout, not as a separate step after delivery.
