IBM — frequently asked questions
- We already run AIX on IBM Power — do you support what we have, or only new deployments?
- We provide ongoing management and support for existing VM, AIX and Tivoli environments, not just new installs — that's one of our standing managed-IT services.
- Is Red Hat OpenShift only for large enterprises?
- It's most commonly adopted by mid-size and large organizations with multiple applications to modernize, since the value compounds with scale. For a small, single-application setup, we'll usually recommend something simpler and say so.
- Do we need watsonx if we already use another analytics tool?
- Not necessarily — if your current analytics platform is meeting your needs, we won't recommend switching just to standardize on IBM. We'll tell you honestly when it isn't a fit.
