Cisco Catalyst Series switching
Campus / Branch
Access, aggregation and core switches for campus and branch LANs.
Catalyst is Cisco's campus and branch LAN switching line — the access, aggregation and core switches that carry everyday traffic inside an office or across a multi-building site. It's a fixed-configuration or stackable platform depending on tier, built to grow from a single wiring closet to a full campus core without changing management tools partway through.
We spec the Catalyst tier against your actual site — port count, power-over-Ethernet load from phones and access points, and how many buildings or floors need to share one network — rather than defaulting to whatever a distributor has in stock. If you're also looking at Cisco's data center switching, that's a separate product line: see Nexus Series switching on this same partner.
- Scales from a single-wiring-closet branch to a multi-building campus core
- Common management plane across the access, aggregation and core layers
- Stacking and modular chassis options for planned growth
Best for: Offices and campuses standardizing on one LAN switching platform end to end.
